Denpasar – The commemoration of the 95th Youth Pledge Day 2023 carries the theme “Together Advancing Indonesia” with the 95th HSP logo, which means forming a stylized line of people symbolizing collaboration and colorful colors showing the diversity of ethnicity, language, and culture. This heterogeneity is a source of strength for advancing Indonesia.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo, in his address read by Irdam IX/Udayana Brigadier General Tatan Ardianto, S.I.P., when he was the Inspector of the 95th Youth Pledge Day Commemoration Ceremony in 2023, which was held at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Field, Praja Raksaka Kepaon Dormitory, Denpasar, on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
The Minister of Youth and Sports further stated that the Youth Pledge Momentum reminds the Indonesian nation of the history of mutual cooperation among all elements of youth, which succeeded in spreading the spirit of patriotism while uniting the national vision, which gave birth to a national commitment, namely spilling the blood of one Indonesian homeland, one Indonesian nation, and upholding the Indonesian language unity.
“On the other hand, the latest technological developments and the increasingly rapid flow of information have created a gap in mastery of technology and information between generations. Just keeping up with this acceleration and change is enough to be overwhelming. In essence, young people’s mastery of technology and information, as well as digital literacy, has become something that must be taken seriously,” he explained.
Therefore, the Minister of Youth and Sports emphasized that every young person needs to have a vision, mission, and strategic role for the next 30 years so that development can run faster. The most effective strategy is cross-generational mutual assistance and cross-sector mutual cooperation.
“Brothers and sisters, finally, let us make the momentum of the 95th Youth Pledge Day commemoration a momentum to raise the spirit of collaboration in advancing the country. May God Almighty always give us strength,” he concluded.
Present at the ceremony were Kapok Sahli Pangdam IX/Udayana, Danrem 163/Wira Satya, Asrendam IX/Udayana, the Assistant Kasdam IX/Udayana, LO TNI AU, LO TNI AL, as well as Dan/Kabalakdam IX/Udayana and Kasrem 163/Wira Satya. (Pendam IX/Udy)
