Pangdam Review 252 Electric Vehicle Units from Mabes TNI to Support G20

DENPASAR – As Commander of the Regional Security Task Force (Dansatgas Pamwil) at the G20 Summit, Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., inspected the 252 Battery-Based Electric Vehicles (KLBB) that had arrived at the Praja Raksaka Kepaon Military Complex, Denpasar City, Bali Province, on Tuesday (1/11/2022).

Sent directly from the Indonesian National Armed Forces Headquarters (Mabes TNI), the hundreds of electric vehicles will later be used to support security and escort tasks for the delegates participating in the G20 Summit, whose peak implementation will be held on November 15-16, 2022.

Arrived in Bali on Monday (31/10), the 42 four-wheeled KLBB units are delivered by sea using the KRI Tanjung Kambani-971 which docks at Benoa Harbor. As for the 210 two-wheeled KLBB units sent by land using a trailer.

At the time, Pangdam accompanied by Kasdam IX/Udayana emphasized to the Kabalakdam IX/Udayana who are based in the Praja Raksaka Military Complex to increase security and alertness for each KLBB unit parked on each prepared land, considering that the KLBB will be used to support the activities of the G20 summit so it must be in good condition.

The 252 KLBB units consist of 42 escort cars, 12 units of the Hyundai Ioniq type and 30 units of the Hyundai Ioniq Five, which are produced in 2022 from South Korea. Then, there are 126 units of escort motorbikes (kawal) and 84 units of rescue motorbikes (matan) equipped with helmets, jackets, pants, shoes and gloves of the Zero SRFM brand produced in 2022 from the United States.
