Denpasar – The Praja Raksaka Cares for the People program which aims to help improve the welfare of the people in the Bali-Nusra region, received support and positive response from PT. Mitra Kiara Indonesia (MKI) by distributing its products, which in this first phase amounted to 34.8 tons or 800 sacks of packaged cement for the development of the NTT Province area.
This symbolic handover of support was received directly by the Military Commander (Pangdam) IX/Udayana, Major General Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., during an audience with the Main Director of PT. MKI, Mirza Whibowo Soenarto, which took place in the Guest Room of the Regional Military Commander, Makodam IX/Udayana, Denpasar, on Wednesday (24/5/2023).
Accompanied by the Assistants of Kasdam IX/Udayana, the Military Commander welcomed the Makodam IX/Udayana and thanked the Director of PT. MKI. The Military Commander really appreciates the CSR program provided by PT. MKI, and after receiving the assistance, it was immediately forwarded to the target areas for RTLH rehabilitation in the Praja Raksaka Cares for the People program which is currently being worked on.
“The Praja Raksaka Cares for the People program has been realized in the Miniature of the TNI AD’s Superior Internship Program in Sumlili Village, West Kupang, NTT. There are seven excellent programs being carried out in one area in Sumlili Village, one of which is the Uninhabitable House Rehabilitation Program (RTLH)”, explained the Pangdam.
The Military Commander further conveyed that the cement support would certainly be beneficial for the completion or finishing of the RTLH rehabilitation. There are 45 units of Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH) belonging to the people of Sumlili Village which are currently being rehabilitated, so that later they will become habitable houses that meet health and safety requirements.
Meanwhile, the Director of PT. MKI expressed his gratitude because his arrival was warmly welcomed by the Regional Military Commander IX/Udayana in the midst of quite a busy schedule. He explained that his support for the Praja Raksaka Cares for the People Program is a form of synergy in improving living standards and people’s welfare through proper, healthy and safe housing.
“As part of the Semen Indonesia group which is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), we want to be present to provide economic and social benefits for the Indonesian people through sustainable programs. On this occasion, MKI is providing support for the flagship program at the Kodam IX/Udayana in the form of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the form of a Mortar Indonesia variant of 800 sacks of packaged cement,” concluded Mirza.
According to him, supporting the Kodam IX/Udayana program is a great opportunity to be present in eastern Indonesia and encourage Mortar Indonesia to expand its reach in this region.
